Try booting into safe mode to uninstall it. You have to hit like F8 or F10 or something just before the windows loading screen, but I can't remember exactly how to do it. So I always just hit the restart button on the computer during the windows loading screen (the black screen with the little bar that goes across) and then it will reboot and then prompt you what mode you want to boot in. Just select Safe Mode (the without the command prompt or anything).

AWESOME! That's great news.
Don't worry about the first build woes. Everyone (including myself) will have problems setting up any machine. It is almost inevitable. That's why we start communities like HardwareLogic; to help everyone learn and grow. No one here can claim to be a computer master, we all learn something new everyday. So don't worry if you run into problems, it happens to the best of us! :D

Go into the BIOS and disable the Silicon Image SATA device.....you should have the option of RAID5, RAID0+1, and disable....set it to disable and you should be good to go.
That is actually for an external SATA device....so you can enable it later if you end up with an external SATA device. If you disable it in the BIOS, it won't show up in Windows, but all you'll have to do later is enable it in the BIOS to add a drive or device

Thanks Blake. Capper, in regards to ur post, on the device manager under other devices, that pesky yellow question mark is next to: RAID controller. Do I need to go into the BIOS and disable the Silicon Image SATA device?

I've never used that motherboard, so I don't know how that whole thing works with the eSATA. Capper has some experience with that board so if he says it, I would give it a shot. If it messes something up more, you can always just go change it back.

In the Silicon Image mode in the BIOS. I have 3 options: Disable, RAID and SATA2. Would you then suggest Disable even though my HDD is SATA?

Yes, disable it because your hard drive is not hooked up to the Silicon Image controller.

There ya go, you heard it from da man! Capper and One4yu2c are the two people here who have knowledge of your motherboard. I would trust their judgement
