i say go with the E6420. It'll essentially be a downclocked E6600.

in april the E6600 will drop to E6400 prices and you know darn well that when the E6420 and E6320 are first released, the prices will be higher than what theyre supposed to be.

hmm bout the E6420 - as long as it has a Conroe core, i say go for it 100%. if not, u dont really get the benefits of the cache if u cant overclock it more like the conroes!

The E6300 is no slouch Ty. It over clocks like a beast, you have lots of head room and it's the best bang for buck right now. But considering the 6600 is the same price I paid for my AMD 3800 X2 last year the 6600 is a good deal too. Regardless
I wouldn't consider the E6300 or the 6400 cheap. Since you look like you may like to tweak your hardware the 6300 has more head room for oc'ing than the 6600 and would suit your budget a little better. ..........Just some thing to think about.

Not processor wise but motherboard and memory wise. You guys know darn well that the processor isn't the only thing that effects your overclock.

Thanks for the processor talk... hard decisions here.
