| Gah, snap. You have to be 18 to be eligible for Intel Retail Edge bundles... fudgecakes... ![]() EDIT: Slypenguin, in order to be eligible for that combo, you have to have 9000 chips (points) from the Intel Retail Edge website... then you have to fax in a copy of your latest paystub and some other shiznit. And you have to wait 'til December 31st, unless I read incorrectly. - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64 Last edited by wtcnbrwndo4u; October 15th, 2007 at 16:25. |

| I agree. The timing on that RAM is 4-4-4-15, which is perfectly fine. E8400 DFI Blood Iron P35-T2RL 4GB G.Skill 800MHz Sapphire Radeon HD3870 512MB Silverstone DA650W WD 250GB + Seagate 320GB |

| Only thing attractive about vista for me was how much it copied Mac OSX, and i love Mac just hard for me to want to use vista, when I ran diagnostics on my buddies new pc with vista on it, 2gigs of ram, and at idle, just on the desktop it was using between 47 and 51% of his ram, just to run ew. |

I know, it takes a lot of RAM, but when you actually run something, Vista reallocates RAM to the open thing. Sidebar eventually takes up an assload of memory (depends how strongly you use it). I just close it and reopen. Memory usage drops by 100MB. - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64 | |
