Gah, snap. You have to be 18 to be eligible for Intel Retail Edge bundles... fudgecakes...

EDIT: Slypenguin, in order to be eligible for that combo, you have to have 9000 chips (points) from the Intel Retail Edge website... then you have to fax in a copy of your latest paystub and some other shiznit. And you have to wait 'til December 31st, unless I read incorrectly.

no you have to have the points by december 31st, but it starts november 5th, so its anytime between those two dates, and yeah i need like 1 more quiz to have enough points

I was reading an article on how the mhz of the different types of ddr2 ram work with FSB of the proc, and i have the pc6400, is that fine for the quad core?

also is the 600w PSU i have still fine?

I agree. The timing on that RAM is 4-4-4-15, which is perfectly fine.

You're essentially getting a free copy of Vista. Use it. It'll run fine, trust me. It only runs like crap for me because my processor can't keep up with me...

Only thing attractive about vista for me was how much it copied Mac OSX, and i love Mac

just hard for me to want to use vista, when I ran diagnostics on my buddies new pc with vista on it, 2gigs of ram, and at idle, just on the desktop it was using between 47 and 51% of his ram, just to run

ew.

High five Mac buddy... Join the low-contender HL Apple Fanboy group... :)... I think that makes... 2 of us... haha.

I know, it takes a lot of RAM, but when you actually run something, Vista reallocates RAM to the open thing.

Sidebar eventually takes up an assload of memory (depends how strongly you use it). I just close it and reopen. Memory usage drops by 100MB.
