Just a reminder of what I'm workin' with here;
22" DVI widescreen
Antec 900 Gaming Case
600w PSU
ATI Radeon x1950
2ghz(2x1ghz) Dual CHannel OCZ ram

need the Proc and Mobo
ive been suggested an E6750 proc, which I am impressed with and think I'll end up getting
the mobo there seems to be dissagreement amongst the class

I won't be doing Crossfire anytime soon, and I don't have nVidia for SLI, but I would like to OC the proc if needed so it doesn't bottleneck

Personally, I've been told Abit makes some very good boards (well, it was the board brand to recommend on the Dell Forums in the Pentium 4 age for top performance). Are you admitting their customer support blows? I can't tell what you meant by that.

I personally don't know if their customer service is bad at all, I was just asking... Because bad customer service is one reason not to recommend a company.

Yup... :)

That's probably Cap's reason.

my suggestion... stay away from the DS3 boards for now. they have not been properly tested according to US/CAN regulations and have been slowly getting more attention to possible problems and interference.

DailyTech - Wake Up America: Who's Watching out for EMI?

this is also why I am getting rid of my 965P-DS3 later this year for a newer better board, likely from Asus

Thanks HL and Corsair!

I have owned an abit board for about 3 years now and I have never had one problem with it. But I have heard from numerous people that the Abit boards are pretty finicky. Also that they are hit/miss when it comes to quality control. They may have worked these problems out by now but this is how it was when they were building 939 boards.
