By the specs that is a hell of a machine. What's the over/under on price? $7-$8K?

Saw pricing (somewhere) for four different level systems. Starts out at Euro 1,700 then rises to 2,000 to 2,300 and 2,600, or something like that. Roughly double for USD price.

Same review said they managed to break the front-opening in about two minutes.

Oh yeah you're right, Bit-tech preview. *slaps forehead*

The system specs are well balanced and at least the European prices are very palatable: €1,699 for the “basic” Sniper, €1,999 for the Trooper, €2,999 for the Crusher and €3,999 for the Eliminator.
European is usually more expensive.

What's the advantage of a hot-swappable HD on a desktop? Other than the "cool" factor, that is.

It's cool? :P
I guess if one fails... but you don't expect one to fail on a desktop.

you know the acer stuff is all the same foxconn and what not inside. Never understood the knock on "shitty chinese quality". Not to mention Acer's a Taiwan company originally (not like it matters)
Anyway, little derailment, SOMEONE FIND ME A BLACKBIRD CASE!!!

(thanks blake!)
