Hard work is an understatement. I have never wired a house before, only office buildings where you pop out ceiling panels and run the cable, then down the outside of the wall and slap conduit on the exposed cable. I also did it in teams of 2 or 3, by yourself is a real bitch, you have to feed it and pull it. I would be glad to help, but I will never do it alone again. | Functional Alcoholic | I finally got the M-Block for the phone lines this week. So last night I finished up the wiring. I think it turned out pretty good. I still need to make a diagram so it's easier to figure out what goes to what. ![]() Last edited by Hitman; December 2nd, 2007 at 09:21. |

| Bravo! Precisely what I'm going to do when I get a place of my own. I too am tired of running wires precariously across floors, under doors (even having them shut in the door), and behind furniture. Sadly, it will indeed be a solo job for me =\. Gratz anyway =). Keep up the ingenuity. |

| Functional Alcoholic | Take from my experience find someone to help you. Even if they are just feeding you cable while you do all the work. I am sure you have a friend or family member that will feed you cable and drink beer while you're doing all the work. If I had someone helping me I could have done the bulk of this project in one or two days. Running the cable is by far the hardest part. If anyone is getting ready to wire their house let me know I will give you some tips based on what I learned and some guides I found on the internet. I got most of my ideas and information from this website Structured Wiring - How To - wire your own home network, video and telephone |

| Colonel Calamity | looks great. I wouldn't mind doing something like that with my house but the garage gets wayyyyy too hot in the summer and would probably burn up stuff once or twice a year ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! My opinions are my own and not representative of this site or its members. |

| Really nice job! However, could you do it all again in maybe all Green cable? I really like the Green. OK, seriously nice job of getting things all in one place, really a sweet setup. Ron |
