That reminds me of when I was driving city bus, when I got in my car I was still taking turns wide. Just FYI buses are fun to drive, there's about 8 feet from the front end to the wheels so you can swing the front end over a curb when turning and it's like a cool amusement ride for the driver.

Sorry to get off subject.

What I don't like about firefox is that after I delete a e-mail I have to either restart the browser or refresh it for the e-mail to no longer show on my homepage.

Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance yet to take a look at Firefox, but it's still on my "Things-To-Do" list.

You drove a city bus? That must've been interesting. I've watched city buses, and those guys sometimes seem just a little insane to me, only because they seem unaffected by all the traffic that's around them, and they make moves I'm not sure I'd make if I were them, considering the size of the vehicle they're driving. Absolutely no offense intended of course. I drive for a living and I do respect them, because they have not only traffic to deal with, but their passengers too, which I think is the reason I don't drive a city bus. So instead, I drive 18-wheeler tractor/trailers where I don't have anyone in the cab with me, but do have lots of insane people in their cars around me. It always amazes me the stuff that people will pull around a large truck...I'm like "You don't like your car very much, do you?"

Sorry for straying off topic, but I had to add my two cents in on this.

Yea driving bus in city traffic is a nightmare. Cars constantly come around you when your stopped and make right turns in front of you. The worst part here is that the city bus picks-up and delivers school kids. Stay with the big rigs, they pay better anyway.

It pays alright, but it still doesn't make up for when some moron in their car cuts in front me on the freeway, or any number of other stupid things they do. I live near L.A. and the opportunities for getting into accidents are more than abundant.

Yea it's tough out there. I always give big rigs plenty of room but then again there have been quite a few drivers in my family over the years so I know enough to make sure they can see me at all times. I only drove bus for 6 months and almost had 3 wrecks because drivers didn't watch what they were doing. One dang parcel delivery driver pulled out of a parking space without looking and he was lucky I had room to manuver and another lady ran a red light that had cars stopped at it already and I almost took out a car that made a right turn in front of me when I was leaving a stop. You can have the driving jobs, more power to ya for being able to handle it.

This happened the other day - Picture this:

I have to go to this cargo warehouse at LAX. I have trouble finding it. At one point I end up more or less on the tarmac with the planes - not quite, but close enough . I turn around. I call the place and ask where they are. They say they are further in near the entrance to the terminal areas. I go further up the street. I'm not familiar with how these cargo warehouses are set up. I accidentally pass the street I'm supposed to turn on. :x At this point I am driving a big rig into the airport terminal area toward a checkpoint - where, I'm told by a sympathetic guy in his car, I will get a huge ticket. I am now on a one way road. I can't go forward (or risk getting the ticket), and it seems like I'm stuck. I can't turn around. I need to get off this road. Thinking swiftly...I start backing this 18-wheeler toward the street I passed (which seems miles away to me now). So I'm slowly backing this rig up the road, and there is incoming airport traffic coming at me. A fast moving airport shuttle bus almost rear ends me (didn't happen, but there would have been a hell of a mess). Then a kind airport traffic gaurd helps me get off the road and shows me another way to get to where I needed to go (a big circle around some hotels). By the time I made it to the warehouse, I just wanted to get done and get out of there. And after all that, I still have to fight my way back to my company terminal. All in a days' work I guess....

Stuff like that happens when your driving truck. I've heard some pretty good stories over the years. I was driving a bobtail pulling into a cannery in Modesto one time and their gate only had a couple inches of clearance and just when I get thru the gate I have to make a hard right turn and then zig zag to get to their dock. I don't know who sets docks up but there's some pretty bad locations.

I'm not gonna disagree with you on that one, bro...I've been in some that seem impossible, but I manage to get in somehow...
