Nope, it is free to download and use however you want
Mozilla FireFox Home Page...
The nice thing that I really like about FireFox are the extra extensions that you can add in and improve the functionality of the application. My personal favorite is AdBlock. You can prettymuch remove virtually any advertisement (even those little green text ads) by simply blocking their URL and preventing them from even downloading in the first place. Download it, try it, and I'll send you my AdBlock filter list so you'll have a good head start on blocking ads!
I think I would enjoy something like Adblock. Other than some customer service issues, the thing I despise most about AOL are all the ads. They charge a lot of $$ per month and they are heavily laden with ads. Ads on the homepage, ads on every AOL page, ads on every site I visit, ads on every video clip...you get the idea. With all the ads they have, AOL should be FREE, and if they were, I wouldn't have anything to say about it. But they still charge and have ads too. It sucks.

I think I'll check out the Firefox thing, and I'll let you know what I think. Maybe you'll be sending your filter list quicker than you think,

If it's not fixed, then don't broke it!

I use QuickFox, a super and turbo charged version of Firefox to max out its speed pontential. It has over 60 prefs.js tweaks and runs in a ram-filesystem/ramdisk. I make QuickFox myself, and is available only on BeOS. Visit the website at www.quickfoxbrowser.com

Hi, Lead Head showed me the site, I thought it had lots of potential and so I joined.
I use an obscure but cool OS called BeOS, and I hate microsoft and IE.
System:
Motherboard AsRock K7S41GX
CPU AMD AHLDA 1Ghz TB 112Mhz FSB
3 HDDs, 1 60GB Fujitsu, 1 40GB seagate, 1 10GB samsung
RAM 512MB Corsair Value Select
OS: BeOS R5 + BONE installation.
GPU MX440 agp4x NV17 64MB ram.

As far as adblock is concerned, there is also an additional extention called the Adblock Filterset.G . It's an extention which uploads a premade list of just about every ad source on the net, and it also automatically updates periodically to add new filters. Using it, I still see a very few adds here and there, but I can still block those out manually (except on hardware logic, where I'll sometimes spend a few minutes just clicking links over and over to help the site [when they work]).

I don't mind ad's when they're for stuff that I might actually be interested in. Like the adds on tech sites for contests from companies or a new product. I just hate those damned "hit the duck get an Xbox" things that NOBODY in their right mind would ever click. Those are the ads I have problems with, not ads that are actually for something.
