| Where's the option, "I don't need one because I'm smart enough not to use Windows"? |

| - norton just plain sucks: it's a resource hog and is very poor as protection from viruses. as a matter of fact I read a test article on the internet where the guy tested 30-some AV's after installing 10 000 viruses and spywware on his computer. norton was one of the poorest in finding viruses and spyware (catched little over 60% of all the 10 000) and was a pain in the ass resource hog. I used NOD32 till that day and it wasn't too bad but the winner of this test was kaspersky AV and I right away switched to it and had no problems whatsoever since then. - I also use sunbelt's kerio personal firewall and I found to be the best one so far (I used the XP's firewall first which really sucks for obvious reasons: most people in the world who use windows, uses it, so its a basic thing for hackers to have the XP breaking in as a basic knowledge). I also used zone alarm for couple of years , that was much better but not flawless. I found the kerio, reading tests on the internet, that said it was excelent. I tried it and it is true. | I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | Quote:
Can't beat the price of AVG's free version, but as far as paid programs go, I'm right there with you in the love for Kaspersky. | |
