Wow ED That Antec P-182 really improves your internet speed. It gives you almost a MB of DL speed.

Antec Routers and Modems, better speed, better cooling, better looks, quieter operations... Go Antec

(BTW, that P182 case is going to be built up for the local children's church for use as a multimedia center.)

I have been real happy with Comcast for my upload speeds. Download has done well for me too. Spokane is a huge data hub, so that helps. Now the speed check was to a server about 15 miles away and faster than the one in town, so it would not surprise me if it is on or near my backbone with Comcast.

something that I found that is real useful for doing port forwarding in routers and firewall is

The funniest part is I'm only paying for the 3 meg service, when I left Charter Cable they forgot to cap my modem back down from my free service. I have neglected to inform them of this.
