Good luck Porn Industry. We've all seen how successful organizations like the RIAA and MPAA can be.

That's the one - the song is pretty funny, but I think they wrote it for a reason. You have to wonder though, who woke up one day and said "HEY! This internet thing is cool, but all it has is information...Let's fill it up with porn!"

I'm not a pr0n guy, but realized it made bank when running around bars in Dallas over 5 years ago. Random job, ran into some millionaire bar owners supported 200% by pr0n sites. The bar was a total loss, and you can't keep it up...but the pr0n supports it and builds it. Very interesting to comprehend that discussion. I didn't get it, but it was happening...and still is. Just get some strippers, put them on a charged site, you get money...with no cut even.

It's just not my thing. I don't even like strip clubs (there's no sex in the champagne room). But I understand it. Heck, my dad even ran a big strip club in Oklahoma City and made bank for retirement, and had little time put into it. Sex sells, but I'm not buying. That doesn't matter though...it's an industry in itself.

I can see them wanting to start locking down on sales...as if they're not making enough money. Very MPAA of them. Ben Afleck needs your money...and will strip for it I bet ya.

As well as the porn industry was a strong contributor also. Granted, not a single deciding vote but a part of the big picture that killed HD in favor of Blue Ray. The porn industry is pretty big business.

You know, porn is an interesting thing, in that if asked in an open public setting, nine out of ten people would likely say that they do not watch/look at porn or would not participate in it or have anything to do with it. But look through any adult shop or around the internet for that matter, and there is an inordinate amount of the stuff, which means that someone somewhere is making it, producing it and consuming it. And it's been this way ever since I can remember. Hence the phrase "Sex sells".

So...that said, is the world full of liars? Or at least, is society just not being honest with itself?

Yea, it seems to be looked down upon in society, which I believe is linked to everyone freaking out any time a tit shows on TV. This country is PUBLICALLY sexually repressed IMO. I mean look at that AT&T Commercial (or verizon, or whoever) where they go to a beach in Europe and the dad practically has a heart attack because there is a nude bather. Granted its supposed to be funny, but it just shows how backwards this country's media is with things.

My wife knows many people who live in Europe and other parts of the world(thanks to that internet thing), and they DO laugh at how repressed the U.S. is about that stuff. They DO think we're backward, childish and amusing that we waste so much time and effort worrying about a tit that showed for what?...Two seconds? Big deal... I mean, there are people who are so worried that their child might see something like that, when for one thing, it means jack to the child, and for another thing, in some cases it wasn't all that long ago that the same children got up close and personal with one, so it makes no sense at all that anyone would be bothered by it. And for those that do worry about it, I think they need to focus their energy on more truly important dangers than Janet Jackson's anatomy.

Sex is a normal and healthy thing......my Dr. says so anyway. For men,it is good to keep the pipes cleaned out because it promotes heathy prostate function. It also helps those who have been married for 25 years or more to watch a flick now and again to help throw some spice into the mix.
I agree this country is bassackwards when it comes to sex....to a certain point, but it is much more accepted now, compared to 30 or 40 years ago.Lots of swingers as well in all areas.I find that the older crowd seems to find it taboo to discuss any sex at all......but then again,I know some older couples and singles that are quite open about it. Any time the drive by media gets a sniff of something, you know it will be blown out of proportion...no pun intended.
