Other then entertainment, I see no real use for this.

Neither do I. It takes longer than a Google search (hence, the thumbs down icon )

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

This service is destined to flop, IMO. Even if it worked well as-is (which it doesn't), the use of real people attempting to relay appropriate Google searches back to the end user would eventually outgrow itself. For example, imagine the kind of staff that would be needed if Google tried to implement a similar service.

Like the other sentiments though, there's definitely a certain entertainment value.

It only works in IE, and there are two buttons to click when you type a search query. Click the second one to talk.

What version? I'm using 1.5.0.6 and it doesn't work at all. Perhaps it's just an extension messing it up. Perhaps I'll try it in safe mode.

I just had my first GOOD experience with ChaCha :) Granted, I would have found the information faster myself, but at least this girl got me the information I wanted in every result she gave me. I now know all about Windows 1.0 :P

JoshuaM: Hi there. I will be helping with your search.
You: howdy
JoshuaM: Is there something more specific that I can help you with?
You: I was just arguing with my little sister about clown poop. She insists that it's red and yellow, and I keep telling her that it's brown, just like the rest of us. Can you get me some proof to show her?
JoshuaM: Clown poop is actually orange. It's known as 'circu peanuts'
JoshuaM: Does that answer your question?
You: I suppose so.
JoshuaM: Is there anything else i could help you with
You: other than helping my disabled grandmother use the restroom, no, I think that'll be all.
JoshuaM: Well this program isn't equipped for that kind of task. I hope you have a good day and thank you for using ChaCha!
JoshuaM: Please RATE ME when you see the five stars. Thanks for using ChaCha.
Status: Session ended.

According to a Google interview I saw on TV, they're planning on having artificial intellegence within the next ten years, so this won't even get a chance to fabricate very far.
