If you click just to the right of any open tab, a new tab will come up

There's no need. All you need to do is check the option to always show the tab bar when only one tab is open and to open a new tab, just double-click the tab bar.

As for Firefox 3.0, I've used the nightly builds in the past. As of now, there are no significant changes. Moreover, I do not recommend any of you to install a nightly build as your primary browser. They are very unstable and sometimes hard to clean up when you're tired of them.

For more information on Firefox 3, check out the Firefox road map.

Everything you guys have asked for thus far has been around since 1.0. Like the button to add a new tab can be added simply by right clicking on the menu bar and click "customize." And opening new links in a tab rather than a window? Tools>Options> Tabbed Browsing.

I've played around with FireFox for a good while, so if anyone has any other questions just let me know!

The nightly builds are more current, but more error-prone than the latest stable releases (or alpha/beta releases). You can download the latest one here.

I can't find anything different about it compared to Gran Paradiso.
