You won't likely dig up too many problems, I just wouldn't expect much difference over 2.0, which might give some people the wrong impression. As this gets further into development, end users should see some distinctions between the two.

If you want to see the "true" FF3.0 how its going to be in its finished state, download the FF3.0 Nighty Build, it has the new rendering engine. FF3.0 Alpha uses the same engine from FF1.5-2.0..

I'll check it out in the morning. Hopefully, they've fixed the memory hog this time. Oh, and they could take a page from IE7's development and always have that extra tab ready off to the side instead of having to hit Ctrl T every time.

One thing I really like about this - and i don't know if FF 2.0 has it or not since I haven't used it - is when you click a link, a new tab comes up instead of a new window.

I think that's just a feature setting, my FF2.0 does new tab by default...

I'm normally the kind of person who would test these things in a live environment, but I can't afford to have my laptop or desktop hosed at this point... I just don't mess around with alpha software anymore now that I use my computers for school. Final exams + computer would be VERY BAD.

Yeah, FF2.0 does the same thing.

On the contrary, I'd like to see Microsoft improve their add-on offerings and implementation, as the user customizations are really what makes Firefox shine. For the above mentioned extra tab button:

New Tab Button on Tab Bar Extension

While we're talking about Firefox, let me hijack this thread a second to ask my favorite bunch of computer crackers:
Is there any extension that will put a close tab button the right of the tab navigation bar like in FF1.5 but for FF2.0? I miss that button alot when I want to close a dozen of tabs fast without having to focus on each tiny button. I'm using a very minimalist theme si it makes the process even harder.
Thanks in advance.
