What is this Pi thing and where do I get it to run it?

SuperPI - 1.1e Download - EXTREME Overclocking

Basically, it puts your CPU through its paces by determining the number of places of Pi that you want your CPU to calculate it out to. The program then times how long it takes your CPU to do it.

E6600 at 2.4, 2.61 and 2.8GHz,
Vista 32bit,
2GB DDR2-1066 @ 1066, 1160, 1120 (corresponding order with the CPU speeds above)
SuperPi version 1.5

I ran each test 3 times and averaged the scores
1M
2.4: 21.434s
2.61: 19.703s
2.8: 18.533s

32M
2.4: 20m 31.043s
2.61: 19m 19.485s
2.8: 18m 48.922s

with the would not runs (WNR), the memory is OC'd too so I am stepping that down a notch to see if that will help any.

edit: bumped the voltage for the memory from 1.9 to 2.1V and CPU from 1.35 to 1.45V and it didn't help the 2.8GHz, still would not run... that is very strange since it is 100% stable with everything else.

edit2: messed around with a few settings and voltages and got one run to work in Vista. Then ran 3 whole runs in XP without a problem... guess it doesn't like Vista. All 4 of these runs @ 2.8 were within 1.5 seconds of each other

Thanks HL and Corsair!

SuperPi/ mod1.5 XS,

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?
