Default Re: Overclocking & hot Summer

Alright, so realtemp showed my temps (idle/not hot yet) at 27-28c while coretemps and everest showed it at 38.

So since realtemp was made for the E8400 its the best measurement?

After 2 mins of stress test via everest, (cool weather still) my CPU temp went to 34-35 with realtemp

Edit: oh, and i did a remount this morning, also raised the antec 900 fans to medium

that sounds about right. i cant remember off the top of my head, but coretemp has the tjmax at 105c, where its actually around 85c ( the guy who made realtemp tested without a heatsink on his e8400 and used a thermal reader to see what temp it reached before the cpu throttled. turned out at about 85c)

my e8400 has a bugged thermal diode that wont read any lower than 35c on core 0. core 1 works perfectly however
