But yeah, so long as the errors don't actually affect anything else and no other programs exhibit odd behaviour, as mentioned, leave well enough alone. ![]() | |

| T-Rex | Remove a bit of vCore, a bit high in my opinion. Other than that, I like having my memory at it's maximum. I'm ready to sacrifice a bit of CPU power to max my memory. You might want to try the same and see what gives you the best performance in your games/applications. Something like 8x313FSB w/ same divider instead of 9x289FSB if you board does it. Would give you 2.5Ghz which is very respectable and DDR416 mem. Dunno if your RAM max so you might be able to get something even better and be close to 2.6Ghz with your RAM maxed out. :) |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | the VCore is fine....between 1.4-15V are fine. I'll argue all day that maxing out the memory doesn't do much, unless you mean by running the memory 1:1, as it is, with that memory, downclocking the memory to get the most out the CPU and run the tightest timings possible are probably the best option INTEL E8400 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 4GB DDR3-1600 // Palit HD 4870 // Antec 1200 // Seagate 750GB HDD // Zalman CNPS9700 // BFG ES 800W PSU |

| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | I'm the same way - clockspeed wins out in most real world situations. With the Memtest quirk settled, I'd personally focus on maximizing the clockspeed, and fine tuning the RAM behind that. |

| T-Rex | That's where benching on multiple applications comes in handy. I have no idea what jokerswild do with his computer, and that was only a proposition. As for vcore, I never liked running A64's over 1.45v on air. Besides if it can run like that rock stable but with less voltage, I wouldn't see a problem reducing it. ;D |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | yep, try higher latencies on the memory so you can move the memory divider closer to !:1.......right now I'd shoot for 150-166 as opposed to the 133 you're using. As to the VCore, your exactly correct pb, the less you need, the better, as long as its stable. | ok thanks I couldn't increase from 133 - 166 and still boot memory is at 2.8v. I have the FSB at 295 the HTT is 885 running the core at 1.456 v the memory is running at 190 with timmings of 3-2-6-2. Should I try to increase the FSB more or do something else? Oh yea proc is running at 45c during these tests is that ok? Last edited by gvblake22; December 12th, 2006 at 09:26. Reason: consecutive posts merged |
