Downloaded memtest x86+ and ran it and it failed at test 6. I suppose I could change the ram out. I have 2 sticks of pc4000 but I don't know for sure if their good. Their from the other comp that didn't test good either but we think that was the proc. I don't remember if I ran memtest on them.

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

Have you tried testing each stick individually, one at a time?

Joker, in researching your memory and over clocking it, two different sites I looked at said they got nothing but memory errors with that kit once the voltage was raised above 2.75v. One site mentioned hitting 260Mhz max at 2.75v.

You may want to go through your settings and make sure the bios isn't auto over clocking the ram. With all the excellent advice you've been given so far, I don't know what else to add to this.

Oh, besides maybe using two different slots for the ram.

No I haven't moved anything physically. I'll remove a stick and test again and check the default volts.

The memory vcore is set to auto. I tried each stick by itself and got errors. Then I put a piece of GEIL PC4000 in a different memory slot and got errors with it too. WTF is up I'm going to put the XMS back in but the other 2 slots and check again. After that I'm at the point of saying the heck with it and just using the comp until it blows.

I tried different memory in different slots and now I went back to the XMS in the opposite slots I was having trouble in and no matter what memory in what slot it errors. The computer gods must like it this way.

Yep. Power down, turn off your PSU and wait a minute or so. Push the power button to discharge any electricity. Then, use the jumper to short the correct pins. Leave it on there for about 30 seconds.

When you first boot, make sure the Ram voltage is set correctly. A Bios doesn't always pick up the right info off the SPD chip. Good luck brother.

Joker, so this was passing all the other tests you put it through? I'm kinda confused.
If it will pass Super Pi (32M), and the other benchmarks people have suggested.....I'm at a complete loss why Memtest would fail.

Already did that before I switched rams around.

I don't know either because the comp acts fine otherwise. I'm going to run the memtests I got on Katlyn's computer right now just to see what happens. Must be this Iowa air.

it passed all the other tests, but fails memtest? Try running Super Pi 32M, and Prime, if its passing those, then we need to figure out what the hell is happening
