| Re: OC'n my 6800 good overclock from the 6800. however i would advise putting an exhaust fan directly under to blow out excess hot air. those temps anre near 100 which is rahter high. the majority of nvidia based cards have a slowdown treshhold near 115-120C. it seems like ur stressing the card. first consider whthere the overclock is necessary. if games run smoothly, then overclokcing is rather pointless, its just shortens life span of card. plus a couple of hours of gaming will increase tempos well near the treshhold. i would consider lowering th clock a bit just to be on the safe side and only overclock when a game demands it. :-))))) pc specs: mobo:asus p5ne-sli,E6600,2gb corsair xms2 800mhz,80gb maxtor daimond 20 hard drive,160gb sata on the way!!! evga 7800gt gpu.(8800gt on the way!!) |
