I think what happens with the nTune utilities and whatnot is that as soon as windows loads, it sets the clock speeds of the video card to whatever you defined in the overclocking utility (nTune). So you would just need to uninstall nTune or set up separate 2D and 3D clock speeds.

As for cooling, I would look into the Thermalright HR-03 or Thermalright V2. Pair one of those up with a 92mm fan of your choice and you've got a very good cooler. The Thermaltake CL-G0080 TMG ND1 looks decent too...

U know that CL-G0080 TMG ND1 looks pretty nice :)

But I gotta check my room in my case. And clean it out first.
lol

and get money.

BESIDES That, looks good. I dig the silence, although I dont need it to be silent. I play games loudly

HAHAHAHA!
So I cleaned out like, 10 dust bunny's worth of dust....

Check out the new temps: (Overclocked @ 495 / 1110)

Not too bad for a stock cooler! I had a 6800GT for a while and that thing definitely ran very hot, so your temps are actually pretty decent for stock cooling. I'm always surprised that the GPU's are able to handle such high temperatures compared to what CPU's are rated for. Still kindof makes me nervous when I see my video card breaking 70șC.....

hehe, well knowing it can run @ 110 for several hours without crashing gives me confidence in Leadtek + nvidia + my heatsink on it right now.

How far do u think i can push it if I get an aftermarket heatsink?
Would it be like, +30mhz? or is there no way to tell

Unfortunately there is really no good way to tell!
Overclocking is always a gamble and is something you have to learn to accept and live with. About the only way you could see is to just start overclocking it more (past your comfort zone with that heatsink) and really watch your temperatures and see if tests "reasonably" stable into the higher temperatures. Then you would know that if you had better cooling, you could confidently move the clock speeds up to that next level while still keeping the temperatures below 70*C. Otherwise it is just a gamble you're going to have to take. I've seen people get an expensive watercooling setup for their processor because they figured heat was their limiting factor and they only got a few more MHz out of the system at the cost of hundreds of dollars of watecooling equipment.

lol, unless I somehow move to Arizona no way in hell I'm W/C

So I think I'll just stick with my current settings and bust some dust every once in a while

Hey, speaking of which, I have some dust caked onto my CPU's Heatsink. How do I clean that out? I cant fit my finger in there and air won't get it off. Its probably statically on or something.

Swiffer? or some other type of utensil like that?
Maybe a way skinny toothbrush?

I would try pipe-cleaners or Q-Tips.

ohhhh. Pipe cleaners would be way good.

Maybe a coating in isopropyl? (or w/o it is)

You could dip them in isopropyl alcohol if you wanted to, but it's probably not necessary to just wipe dust away. The stiffness of the bristles should do the trick with a few swipes. If not, it would probably at least loosen it up enough to blow the rest off with compressed air. Another thing that might work well is to just fold up a piece of paper towel enough times to make it thick enough to just barely fit between the fins. Then just pull the paper towel through each fin and it will pull the dust out.

Hell, I freak out when my card maxes out at 86 degrees C. And I'm not overclocked!
