The last stable FSB I got was 280. When I went to 285 OTTC gave me a unstable warning. Here's a cpuz of the last stable settings so whats next?

What's next is to enjoy your screaming fast system! At 2.5GHz+, you're chugging along faster than a 4800+ X2 (the fastest non-FX s939 processor in existence), and you're nipping right at the heels of an FX-60! Best of all, it appears you've done so without even touching the voltages, so I imagine your temps are holding up quite nicely. You're seeing firsthand why the Opteron processors were so coveted - they're fantastic OCers, they have the full 1MB L2 cache, and they were generally priced very reasonably compared to their X2 counterparts.

There's still the option to try and push further by loosening the RAM timings and increasing voltages, but you're at (or close to) the point where you'll start to see diminishing returns, at least on air.

Job well done Joker...and they said you couldn't teach an old, ancient, decrepit dog new tricks. You showed them! :aetsch:

to all of you for helping.

you have pretty good temps so i would add 0.025v (or whatever the smallest incrememnt is) to the vcore and see if you can make it to 2.6ghz. also could you post a cpu-z screen of your memory?

ah, your at your ram's limit of 230 again. i would be willing to bet if you put your ram on a slower divider (133mhz 2:3) you could get more out of that cpu

Yea, or loosen the timings. 2-3-2-5 is pretty damn tight. Here's what some review sites were able to hit on that same kit of RAM:

Hi-Tech Reviews
200 MHz 2-3-2-6 2.8V
210 MHz 2-3-2-6 2.8V
220 MHz 2-3-2-6 2.8V
230 MHz 2-3-2-6 2.8V
240 MHz 2-3-2-6 2.8V
250 MHz 2.5-3-2-6 2.8V

226 MHz 2-3-2-6 2.7V
248 MHz 2.5-3-3-6 2.9V

Click the image to open in full size.I went to 133 and I'm going to test at 290 FSB after this post. Here's CPUZ.

Comp. was stable at the settings in the above thread but not at 295 FSB.

sounds like a cpu voltage increase to me. your HTT and ram is under spec so those arent to fault. try adding a little bit of juice to her. when i OC a proc, i generally tend to stop at a 0.1 increase, however with proper cooling you can push it further. but be warned, theres a chance that it will shorten the lifespan of the cpu. so my next suggestion for you would be to add 0.025v to your cpu's vcore and try the 295 mhz again.

also another thing you could try with your ram is to put it back on the divider that you previously had, but loosen the timings to 3-3-3-8 and add maybe 0.1v to the ram. because right now your sitting with DDR 372 and i feel that faster ram with looser timings will out do slower ram with tighter timings.
