Ok, so you want a 300Mhz oc - you said you were looking at going to 2.3Ghz. I know a lot of people prefer to set the multiplier lower, and then set the fsb higher to get their desired oc. I personally prefer to set mine at x10, because it makes the math easier, LOL! But, IMO, no matter the multi/fsb setting, as long as you arrive at the desired clock speed is what matters.

I don't know that much about DDR2 memory settings, but I'm guessing if you change your fsb/ram ratio to a point where your RAM is at or slightly over the stock speed and you have the cpu speed where you want it, then you should be good. Since you aren't looking for a huge oc, you may want to leave your voltage alone UNLESS you see it getting unstable. Then, carefully raise it a little at a time, until you see more stability. Be sure to watch your temps, if and when you do! Be careful not to raise it too much! And I'm glad to hear you got aftermarket cooling. Above all, whatever you do, just be careful.

If it's not fixed, then don't broke it!

also don't go over 5% of a voltage increase on the vcore
