my logitech does the same at random... never happened with the MS optical intellimouse or a PS2 mouse... I think drew has it right, exchange it via warranty

Had this problem with a couple of different wireless mice. Went back to wired and the problem hasn't occurred since. No big deal when web surfing, but whole other matter when gaming. When I started playing COD4, I got a wired mouse.

I'm sure the pineapple juice with all those nifty acids and other chemicals did wonders for it too

Anyways, I have a Logitech G5, suits me just fine. Only problem I had with it is that the stock teflon pads wear down fast.

The G5 is like the best mouse I've ever owned. Mine feet are wearing off to. I'll have to replace them with the Teflon pads that came with my mousepad.
