HAHAHAHA, welcome to the wonderful world of computers and lots of crazy "random" problems!

Look in your motherboard manual for the memory configuration. Find which DIMM slots are set up for dual channel operation (usually each stick goes onto a different "channel").

And what exactly do you mean by "there is no memory detected"? Does the computer turn on? Does it give errors? Is there a beep code?

If all else fails, just try booting with only one stick of memory in the first DIMM slot.

Did you try booting with only one stick of RAM installed? Did you try resetting the CMOS again? If one stick doesn't boot, then try the other stick. Try different DIMM slots too.

LOL, Blake hit it right on the head...You got a bunch of really great stuff and its a whole new world....you'll soend all day in front of the computer, forget to eat and shower, forget you are married.....oh, wait...nevermind.
Anyway, pulling the battery does work, I've seen boards that use that as the way of clearing the CMOS...its not the preferred method, but it works.
As to those 3.6 OCs, I doubt they are stable, and even if they are, they are either using exotic cooling, or they are going to cry like a little girl in 3 months when their system melts......shoot for around 3.0-.3.2GHz, its an 800MHz OC, its stable, and it won't stress your system too much.
Take your time, have fun, and ask questions....thats why we are here.

well for if you mess the cpu setup... but like what happened to me earlier the memory setup in the bios, i played with it messed me up the battery thing isn't working then i paused... smoke some cigarettes and go back and look for and orange/yellow/canary looking jumper and verified it with the diagram in the box and boom... got it working it bypass the memory setting setting it all to default/auto, then let you only go to the bios nothing else... then after correcting what you messed, you have to put the jumper back to how you found it. and here am i back in tweaking and stressing my self over and over again trying to find the perfect bios setting for OC... its really an stressfully situation yet fun...
