So it will be at 1minute 23 seconds--->freeze(looks to) then the time jumps to 1minute 35 seconds and the program continues... is this a normal thing becasue of the stress on the system??

thanks.....
Yeah, I think that's normal. It does that for me too, but not as much. It might lag from 1:25 and catch up with itself at 1:27 for me. As long as the machine is totally unresponsive (mouse is totally frozen, keyboard unresponsive, etc.) just let it run.

I left the settings the same and bumped the mem up too 900, system locked up...(also changed the volts...). SO I placed them back donw and I am going to some other settings..... think I am going to put the system at eh 3.38ghz overclock and play the game for awhile.... seem to be spending all the time OC'ing and not enjoying the game..:).... Ill post back when I have some news or a million other questions...

thanks again....

I can get my system up to 3.6ghz with mild low core temps. the system boots to windows, all the timings and settings are stock except FSB (1600) and multypler at 9, and core volts somewheres around 4.5 before Vdroop. When I run Orthos.... system locks up anywheres from 2-10 minutes into the stress test. obviously not stable.
Also tried multiplyer at 8x and FSB at 1800 with still no stablity
IS it the core volts being too low that are casuing the problem or does this spill over into memory settings or memory volts (@2.1v)?? Does one just keep upping the volts to the CPU until it gets stable? Obviously watching temps closely......

I swear this Overclocking is addictive.... already told myslef 3 times I'd stay where im at, but never seems to work!!!! Almost temped to password my bios and have the girlfriend set it!!! LOL.....

What did you increase the voltage to?
The FSB voltage is the voltage at which the FSB is switching, and it is shared between the CPU and the NB. This is assuming you have NB, CPU, and FSB voltage options in the BIOS. 1.2V is nominal.
