On the contrary, if it's stable at that setting, you're speeding it up. However, you're talking about a minuscule difference that will only be evident in some benchmarks, and mostly synthetic ones at that.

Orthos ran lastnight for 2hrs36minutes then the computer locked up. It didn't appear to have any errors, but the computer was frozen. Orthos has never given me any errors, it has always just locked the computer up..... isn't that kinda strange? I had it on priority 5 (I wasn't sure what the diff is between 1-10, so I popped it into the middle)...

CoreSpeed 3384 @ 1.408volts@9x@376.mhz bus speed@ratedFSB1504-1503.9mhz

memory is:

SPD is :

i can post a screen shot if you like of the info if it would be easier to read.

If Orthos is freezing, take that like an error (possibly more serious than an error). For a better stability test, set Orthos to priority 9 or 10. Run Orthos on priority 9 or 10 for 8 hours non-stop. If you don't get any freeze ups or errors, then it's stable. If not, well, it's not stable.

Okay so here I sit. System seemed stable after running Orthos for 1 hours exactly.... I would have ran it longer but looks like storm in the area so puter being turned off. BUT I WILL RERUHN FOR 8HOURS.... IF ALL GOES WELL, then.....next step i guess

here are the system setting and memory settings. Where do I go from here, increasing the FSB again? Im happy where it is, I guess I would just like to understand more. Multiplyer @ 9 casues issues so like some of you reccommended I moved it to 8.

please see photos and let me know the direction to take now. thanks guys/gals(dont want to offend anyone :)) also... i cant get these things any clearer or bigger... if u cant read them Ill try somehting else... sorry about image size...

okay.... Orthos ran for 8hrs lastnight at level 10 like you suggested. I used the settings above... if you can read them.

1600 FSB, 8xmultiplyer, CV1.4volts, memory 5-5-5-15 at 2.1 volts, and in BIOS the memory is at 800 (but i think its runnig at 775 or something like that). Do i increase the fsb again to a higher number? Is that the next step. I tried increase the memory to 900 bu the system would not boot up.....(at 2.1v)

If it was stable for 8 hours, you can step up the FSB a little and try again. If when you increase the RAM to 900MHz and it doesn't boot, you could increase the RAM voltage to 2.2v and reboot.

When running Orthos, is it normal for the program to lag? Im gonna explain this the best I can. I run the program on setting 10 and about 8 minutes into it or so, it looks as though the time stops and almost looks forzen, then the program starts again and the time jumps to catch up to itself. So it will be at 1minute 23 seconds--->freeze(looks to) then the time jumps to 1minute 35 seconds and the program continues... is this a normal thing becasue of the stress on the system??

thanks.....
