I've never been an advocate of overclocking video cards. The cooling is usually inadequate, and the hardware very fragile......overclocked cards crap out fairly often, and fairly quickly.

Awhile back, companies stopped bundling games with their cards, and instead, to make their cards stand out, started overclocking the hell out of certain cards.....but then there was a big deal where cards were being RMA'd at incredible rates.......it got to the point where NVIDIA put their foot down and made their partners scale things back.

Personally, if you want to improve performance, overclock the CPU instead.

INTEL QX9650
ASUS Maximus Extreme
4GB DDR3-1600
Sapphire HD 3870X2
Danger Den Torture Rack (Custom W/C)
Seagate 750GB HDD
BFG ES 800W PSU

I don't know, I think the 8800GT is a very capable card, not as flaky as the 7900's for that matter. Besides, it's a free boost, with virtually no downside if cooled properly.

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?
