Default Evga 650i ultra+Intel E6750- OC VOLTAGE

Okay, guys i need help big time. When i go into my bois for 650i Ultra it shows the voltages- Cpu-Fsb(1.20v,1.30v,1.40v)On stock it set at 1.20V. I wanna get my E6750 overclocked to 3.ghz.
Then another option is Cpu-core(its at 1.27v)?
And another is Nforce-SPP(1.20V,1.30V,1.40V,1.50V)Its set stock on 1.20V.
I have my proccesor on 2.9Ghz from the stock 2.6, but when i go higher it crashes.
Btw i have my VID-set to 1.3625v? So can u guys help me set this up?

Hello and welcome to HL! I think it would benefit all the helpful forum members if you would list your system specs in order to get you better advice on your issue.

Specifically, what type of memory do you have and what are you using to cool your CPU?

Well i don't wanna overclock my ram, but i have Corsair 2Gb XSM2. pc6400. And at idle my Intel E6750 is 40c. I just wanna know what to set my voltages too. I know how to overclock, setting the fsb, 1500. Cuz right now my stock fsb is 1333. And setting it to 1500 will give me 3ghz overclock from stock 2.6.
I really don't know what the voltages mean, like when ppl say set ur vdimm to 1.4, thier is no 1.4, or 1.5. If u look at my first post, it shows all the settings, plz help.

Vdimm is the voltage for the RAM.
There is a good chance that you will not need to set the voltages higher for your CPU just jumping up to the 1500 FSB. It might be worth a try first before worrying about bumping up your voltage.

As far as where to set the voltage, I am not sure with that motherboard, but I am pretty sure someone with that board will jump in here and tell ya.

Also, Welcome to HardwareLogic

try increasing your VID in small increments until you find what is necessary to attain 3ghz.

im thinking you have to adjust the memory divider as well. you may be running it much higher than it can with stock voltages and settings.

Ok now tell us what Memory you have then Graphics Card and Power supply.

I will say this the 630 series is not a good high stable overclocking mother board.

Make sure you have the latest P04 bios. For that mater tell us what bios version you are running.

First I recommend you go into bios and set optimized defaults.
Then: go back in to bios after saving and exiting
Leave all on auto except:
Turn off CPU Thermal Control, C1E Enhanced Halt State, Intel Speedstep, all Spread Spectrums, SLI-Ready Memory, Linkboost, and Smartfan
Go Linked and Synced
Leave multi @ 8x
Set FSB to 1600
Increase your CPU core to 1.35v to 1.4v
start at 1.4 and if stable lower to 1.35 and see if it's stable there too
This will give you a 3.2GHz OC

Remember this board is not a big OCer even though People are getting 3.9 to 4.0 GHz overclock out of this CPU it's with much better motherboards. The good news is that was done on air or with stock cooling and in many cases at 48c load temps which is very good.
I think you will be much better off being a little more conservative again considering your board.

Get the info I asked for and provide it to us and we can help you achieve a stable 24/7 overclock but be prepared to read and learn as part of the process.

Beware Not all CPU's are alike and a given OC is not guaranteed and of course if you can not afford to replae it don't risk damaging it.

Can u read my top post. I don't wanna keep posting my specs, if no one will read my posts. If u look at my pre posts, u will see what my bios looks like. Okay system specs *AGAIN* Intel E6750, EVGA 650i Ultra,2Gb XMS2 Corsair pc-6400, 500WAtt psu. And i keep telling u guys i don't know what this voltages is? Increase your CPU core to 1.35v to 1.4v> IT DOES NOT SHOW THAT KIND OF VOLTAGE IN MY BIOS. And when ever i play css, my pc crashes, with over 3ghz. So I'm keeping my clocks at 2.9.
