Here's my current overclock, I'm still looking for this cpu/ram/mobo's limit right now.

I ran orthos all day yesterday, no errors, seems pretty fast to me. Still need to run superpi and stuff like that though.

I still want to get my cpu at 3.5ghz stable, even though that's a long shot, I know. I can get into windows at 3.5ghz though, before it just shuts down loading the programs. Gonna have to mess with the voltages more (i've been leaving mobo voltages on auto lately, so I think I have some room to move still).

nice. Those chips are so fun. I've been workin on one, and gotten to 3.5--but the motherboard has since gone a bit wonky (i got it open box, so no surprise) and can't pull the voltage to go higher :S

If you can lower taht FSB multiplier a bit you'll probably get a good amount of stability when you go higher :D

Oh geez, i forgot to post a pic of my e6300 going at 3.5ghz.

I am stable at over 3.5ghz now though!

Not with the 6300 though. Using the e8500 I just got today. I'm gonna shoot for 4ghz, shouldn't be too hard (got a good deal on this chip used... it can hit 4ghz without too much voltage if I remember right).

Also, this is with stock cooling... my last tube of thermal paste is with a friend in spearfish (an hours drive away....), so I had to use the stock heatsink for the time being.

I have it at 4ghz now... still on the stock cooling. Still getting good temps, and superpi is only enough to put it around 50c, but I dont want to run a full orthos test with the stock cooling. Seems pretty stable though. Everythings nice and snappy, giving me super 1m runs right at 12 seconds... so I'm happy.
