| Depends on how fast your processor is, what type of processor it is, what type of client you are running, and what WU you got to do. |

| Nehalem | I would like to try it BUT need some Q's answered first.I am on a 100MB/s broadband connection. I also have a Linksys wireless G WRT54G 54MB/s 2.4GHz wired amongst this mess that my son is always on.When we are on together and I am playing on Steam,we both slow down pretty good.If I fold, what's going to happen then? He has a game system,I duno PS3 or something,I dont pay attention to what he has. It already slows down between the 2 units so....what am I looking at here? |

| Colonel Calamity | using the SMP client, my E6600 runs those about every 28-32 hours. and OM_G.... the folding client runs in the background as a process so when a program starts it has a very low priority process that is overtaken even by an anti-virus update or something like that.... it has no impact on the network except when it downloads which can be 1-10MB files and upload possibly double the size of the download, again this is only every 24-72 hours... it is all quiet and runs in the background... worse comes to worse if it just causes any conflicts you can stop it and remove it. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! | The best is a quad-core with Hd2900. But I don't think 2900 is supported by the FAH program because I tried it, only X1800 are last time I checked. I fold for a different team. And adding in, FAH really only uses the idle cpu power... Like if you kick in a game or something that will override FAH..
