| Colonel Calamity | yes i got the same message today when i restarted it... i had to download the latest installer and then run the install.bat before mine would run again.... also mine was at 99%.... but luckily it just started up where it left off so it finished it quickly and moved on to the next one... i am not always this lucky, this only happens every 1 out of 5 restarts ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! | Colonel Calamity | that means either an overclock is unstable or your hard drive is having issues so it error'd out that WU and trying to get a new one but the server it gets it from may be down so it may take a few hours to get the next one. 0x1 usually means that something was using the work files when the client tried to write or use them... sometimes AV scan, sometimes spyware or windows itself was archiving the files.... ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! | Hmmm, weird. My OC is 100% stable. It passed memtest, all 3dmarks, like 48 hour stress prime, OCCT and a bunch of other programs. M HDDs are pretty old and gay so I wouldn't be surprised if it got screwd up from that.... Oh well. The new one is at 42% and should be done tomorrow... |

I hope and pray that in some way it can stop many others from the same fate. I thank from the bottom of my heart !! God bless all the folders ! By the way, I happen to enjoy playing the RE-Mission video game. It's corny compared to many vid games, but, they did a great job putting this game together for those with cancer.

| No problem tiredoldman! I hope you get better :) I noticed that .6GHz makes a large difference... I set my cpu back to 2GHz (default for X2 3800+) because I was installing windows XP. I forgot to set it back to 2.6GHz :( It was folding at about 500PPD (2610). I set it back to 2.6GHz and its back to the normal 650PPD! Wow! No wonder its taking me 3.27 days so far >_< |

Problem is, the client didn't shut down right (Control-C is always the right way to close it), but it's a beta, and sometimes when you shut it down the right way, it doesn't shut down right. In my case, I lost my internet connection at 99%, and despite using Control-C to stop it, and restarting it only several minutes later, I got this same exact error. No, you can't recover at this point, afaik. Normally, there is a utility called Qfix that will assist in cases like this, but I wouldn't EVEN try it on a WinSMP client - just too much untested waters here to risk goofing up a good install. Your log showed a problem though: Quote:
And they're << twice >> as slow, as SSE type of loops. So, stop your client with the Control-C ASAP, and let it really stop all the core threads, (give it at least 3 whole minutes). Then restart it, and your folding speed will be doubled that of using "standard loops". Best tip you'll ever get for folding, imho! Fold On!
