Seconded. Fold, if only a bit. ;) It's not very hard to setup, and it's good to know you can make a difference.

Every 10*C increase in temps cuts a chip's life in half. Using the x1900's default fan speeds, the core will be loading upto 90+*C, even though the core is designed to handle that, its not good for it. GPUs, especially consumer GPUs are not designed with the same tolerances that CPUs are. CPU designs take in the consideration that they will be driven 100% for years on end, GPUs are only designed to be loaded a few hours at a time, even then video games don't have a constant load like F@H does. I would run F@H on my x1800 if my temps didn't exceed 70*C under load with 100% fan, and if I didnt need to let it use CPU cycles.

great. get to it we need more members. any addition is welcome :)
doesn't have to be a top of a line (I know people who have PII's and PIII's folding). it also doesn't have to be 24/7 (but is nice if it is :) )

It's an old 800 mhz celeron which I'll leave up 24 hours, and I'll run on my lappy when I have it at home which is a 2.8 Ghz P4.

lol unless it's a laptop card i'd like to see the electricity bill if you did...
imagine a pair of 8800gtx's folding 24/7, but then again it's ATi only..

GPU folding is best served methinks by a slower cpu.........eg under 2 ghz..........that way the gpu is being fed whilst not wasting a top end cpu.

No point sacrificing a Conroe core for gpu folding.
Mine runs fine fed by a Sempy 3100+ at stock

You should fold!!! Join us: Team 50578

Yep, exactly. Anything over that is a waste in my opinion. I explained a while ago in a thread why it was a waste, mostly because of the polling done to check the status.
