The GUI version wasn't affected much, but the console version seems to slowdown alot with the screensavers. I have 2 btw, flux and plasma, both of which I believe are included in (k)ubuntu linux

There is no reason not to, you can stop the client at any point in time. I have never had an issue with it, and the performance impact it has isn't noticeable, I've lost no frames and firefox still takes 5423689 hours to load, despite having 2 clients running :D

Ok, so let's say my computer is working on a molecule thinger and I shut down during work. When I restart, will it resume from where it left off in the WU or will it have to download another and start over?

It will resume from where it last saved it's progress, I believe is what I've read and been told by my former team, Maximum PC Magazine.

Always make sure you exit the client prior to a reboot.

Grrrr, lost 13 hours folding time cos of a stupid 3038 EUE just after I left for work last night.

Best send a 2604 to make up the lost ground
