I read that last one to mean that the big spikes = fins on heatsink,
and could he have put the thermal paste on them? Surely not the fan blades, that'd be just too stupid...

Maybe he was sloppy and accidentally got TIM on the fins or blades while applying it to the base?

NAH, the person can't even form a single complete sentence, he probably had his dog apply the TIM and install the heatsink!

Pros: During gaming sessions, my single core chips run at 100% (3700 & FX-55). In contrast, my FX-60 runs 60%/30% (observed in Logitech G15 LCD). The benchmarks I've seen suggest sticking w/939 for another year or two.

Pros: It`s free...it`s green...it works...it runs pretty cool (at body temperature)

Cons: 1) Size needs to be underclocked. Hopefully it will shrink in washmachine. 2) Someone from AMD stepped on it with really big and messy boot.
