I have an 8800gtx and my temp is 57-59C on idle... So anyways quakindude about the ati tool, it worked before on this pc... All i did was reformat and put my HDD's into raid 0. No hardware changes at all. Now ati tool doesn't see my video card BUT rivatuner does but it says there are no driver details. Look at this pic!! Do I have to download forceware drivers if so is that the 100.65 drivers??? The thing is i do have the 100.65 drivers but sometihngs wrong. Im gonna uninstall my video drivers, reboot, reinstall, and well see what happens form there.Click the image to open in full size.

If you download the Vista compatible drivers, you shouldn't get an error saying there's no drivers, especially if you haven't installed any yet.

Look in your Installed Programs list and see if you can uninstall the drivers you currently have. DriverCleaner Pro was the program to use to uninstall old drivers, but I have no idea if it works with Vista or not and the newest versions have to be purchased IIRC.

NP. I know Vista will make your high end video card work with some generic assed drivers. But once you install the right drivers, those issues should go away.

Ya i downloaded the correct drivers at evga.com 8800 win vista 32-bit (100.65 drivers) Do you think my video card is messed up??? My games run great though with it but these programs just aren't working. Im tring to use rivatuner since it says it supports vista 32 bit but I dont know how to use it. But anyways my main goal right now is overclocking my RAM and Video card. Once that is done i wont have anymore pc problems for a while :) Im just trying to maximize my performance with the settings i have. My ram is at 1120 5-5-5-15 2T @ 2.2v

I don't think your video card is messed up. But I don't know why your new config isn't playing with the overclocking tools.

So far its been pretty much accepted that most of the overclocking tools just don't work well/at all in vista. I haven't had any luck with ATi Tray tools, and a new version was released 3/30.

It was working for him when he first installed it on his Vista system without the Raid setup. Technically, from what he has said, the Raid array is the only thing that changed from when it worked before on his Vista install till now.

I know, and I was surprised it worked then. Noone else seems to ahve gotten it working.

As I said in another thread, have you downloaded the compatibility updates for March? It fixes a crap load of stuff.

EDIT - in fact, with that update I now can use ATi tool. I couldn't before.

Download the Windows Vista Software Compatibility update to fix common compatibility issues in Windows Vista

I don't know why but I couldn't find this in the automatic update list.
