So, while you old geezers are all subscribed to this thread, I'll continue here...

So, my ExpressCard adapter card isn't working. In the Dell, I just stuck it into a PCIe x4 slot and it worked dandy.

Here, I can't get it to work in the x1 slot or second x16 slot. There is a x4, but it's so dreadfully close to the video card that I'm afraid it won't get air, although it does pick up from the top.

There's some jumpers for PCIe on this DFI mobo, so I checked it up and they were at their default settings. If they were on the left side (which they were), both the x1 and the x4 slot should have been able to recognize a x1 card. All I could find in BIOS was to make the PEG slot go x1 and to set each PCIe slot as Auto, Enabled, and Disabled. They are all Auto by default, but I stuck them to enabled anyways.

Same issue.

The card does need a USB header/cable to be plugged in. So I'm actually running a USB cable from the the card to a USB port on the outside, just like I did on the Dell...

Any ideas? Anyone know the DFI BIOS?

Talk to Nate (yellowhellow) he should be on in a couple minutes.
He knows DFI's bios pretty well as far as I know...

Or, you could just get a new board
It's always time to upgrade.
