Not if you might have accidentally hit something with it on the inside of the case. It's highly unlikely, but maybe you hit it with your HSF assembly, maybe unseating the processor? I'd start checking capacitors if it were me...

Also, you may want to see if your CMOS battery is still good...

I'll check the clearance in a second, but that shouldn't be the issue.... sigh... about to try and put everything back in and try booting.

OMFG.... haha, you're not gonna believe this of all things.

So I picked it up to put it on the table and I heard something moving around. So I put it down and looked and what do you know. A freakin' jumper came out. Guess which jumper... CMOS.

Works fine now, although I should find a tighter jumper for that.

WHEW, at least it wasn't something big... I knew it'd be something stupid.

Dude, your new rig reminds me exactly of my AM2 system I built last year...every time it seemed to work, something would go wrong and I'd spazz, spending hours fruitlessly Googling to find the RAM not fully seated or something stupid.
