Yeah, reboot into the BIOS and look into the integrated/onboard peripherals.

Alternatively, sometimes you can switch it completely off with a key combo on the laptop or just at a touch of a button.

Yep, my mom's laptop has a physical switch on the bottom of the laptop for the wireless.
