After I stop drooling over those 2 gig rockets and realize I don't have a clue whats going on I just excuse myself and say my floppy has turned into a hard drive and I need to go find some lapping compound to fix the problem.

tut tut tut liquids on high spec technology lool btw urban myth but does using ionised water in water cooling mean shud a spillage happen the damage is significantly less?

I used deionized water when machining parts for military missiles. This is what I found.

" The lack of ions causes the water's resistivity to increase. Ultra-pure deionized water can have a theoretical maximum resistivity up to 18.31 MΩ·cm, compared to around 15 kΩ·cm for common tap water. Deionized water's high resistivity allows it, in some very highly specialized instances, to be used as a coolant in direct contact with high-voltage electrical equipment. Because of its high relative dielectric constant (~80), it is also used (for short durations) as a high voltage dielectric in many pulsed power applications, such as Sandia's Z Machine. "

Even without - if you spill while your system is NOT on - you don't have a problem anyway.

I've spilled while filling a system before. Just let it dry thoroughly.

That's why you do leak-testing without powered hardware ;)

I've watercooled for 4-5 years now and never had a problem.
