Urgent Help Needed w/HDD. Critical Data needed

Ok, update:
We took the HD to a computer guy (fixes compys for a living) and he plugged it in to a Sata->USB and it worked fine, so I bought one (he'd have charged 2x the price of that thing to recover the data) and I'm gonna get the stuff off of that today (leaving in about 5 minutes) before I install that server and do some other stuff.

I just recovered all the important data, but a majority of the drive doesn't work.

It makes that noise while accessing it. Even a simple Rightclick>properties.

aahhh yes, that is most definitely the sound of a dying hard drive. I've only had one drive bite the dust on me (an early 74GB Raptor) and it made the same repetitive clicking noise. Glad you were able to get most of the data off though, something is better than nothing!

Good news, my boss, instead of him just tossing it (which woulda been stupid as hell, mostly because this HD has LOTS of sensitive data on it) gave it to me to.... 'play'.... with :)
