It would seem that when its in safe mode nothing goes wrong

I can't confidently narrow it down to the PSU quite yet.

XtC, do you have some Antivirus software you could run a virus scan in safe mode and check for viruses.

And when you reformatted, you were able to do a fresh install of windows without any problems?

well i was using Shaw secure, which is supposed to be pretty effective and it apparently said there were no viruses which is also known as f secure

i used to use that program as well, but its pretty out dated.

but the shaw version is constantly updated, oh btw i even tried system restore, and uh it still restarts........

If you can get into Safe Mode, try Trend Micro's free online scan :thup:

North Bridge. The NB is on your mobo and usually under a heatsink with a fan. If you havea fan on your NB and your fan goes bad, teh NB can overheat like crazy adn tath could be causing your problems.

well i have a heat sink that says foxconn and i donno whats under it, oh yea and its pretty hot
