| Before you have to reload Windows, try running the free scan at AntiVirus - AntiSpam - Firewall Software, Data Security, Free Protection That scan will remove both viruses and spyware. I'm using their Antivirus Plus v.10 and it's fantastic. (Free 30 day trial, and the price for a 2 yr. subscription on 2 computers is $50 - not bad.) | I'm also running the usual anti spy programs, and adaware etc. But, I also have a little program called 'No Ads' from Internet Privacy & Computer Cleaning software, Popup Stoppers, and other Free Utilities - South Bay Software It takes awhile to learn, meaning when a pop up comes up, you have to click it's link and 'add to targets', then click on hide to close it back up, and it'll go away, and with regular updates, it soon takes care of them. I can't remember the last pop up I've had to where I had to teach it not to pop up that one, and I'm still using ie. edit: It's listed under "OTHER" then free utilities. ![]() Last edited by Redleg; February 8th, 2007 at 19:33. |
