It does not matter which black wire you put it into. The black wire is the ground wire. Make sure you take out every power connector in your system. The power to the fans is okay though.

I've never tried doing that with a paperclip, I've always used a wire stripped at each end.

the PSU thing worked. im begining to think the motherboard is toast :smt010

any suggestions for a replacement?

contact DFI, it should still be under warranty, and they will replace it.....let me know if you have any issues

yeah ill contact DFI tommorrow morning and hopefully theyll replace/repair it. ill just have to find the stock chipset cooler and put it back on since i replaced it :P
