I see someone without a "Home Theater PC" ... HTPC you know ... has a great many benefits.

Heck ... it can even pencil out as a real savings in the long run ... you know you could build one ... you know you want one ...

Yellowhello - thanks for reminding me. I threw something together for a sig.

I'm dreaming of wiring the house/creating own home DVR/etc. Not sure I'm ready to bite off that much just yet. Hopefully having home remodeled in 2008, so maybe then?

OK, I'm not impressed with my sig. How do you guys get those great sigs with you systems on top of photos? Do you create it first (via paint.net or something like it) and then paste it into your sig?

PS - can I hijack my own thread?

welcome to buildaPCitis support group...
your build is never done, theres always that extra piece or two that would be nice to get, eventually it gets to the point where you are picky with the brand of case fans you get...
I look around and say it would be nice to have these other parts but I also rarely open my case except for maybe every 6 months so I just look and that seems to feed it fine... except when I get some extra cash that is just burning a hole in my pocket then I pick up an extra pile of DVD+RWs or stick of memory or whatever one of my many computers need. there is no cure except for no money

Thanks HL and Corsair!

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

This must be what it's like to be Jokerswild's age. I feel like my eyesight has deteriorated horribly - I can't read your sig.

I've got sharp vision and I can't see it either. But again, my desktop's resolution is higher than most ^^.

Naw, it isn't your eyes - I've got both the background picture and the font too small. I'll play around with it at home and see if I can improve it. In the meantime please accept apologies for making you think you were going blind.
