Return Merchandise Authorization... It pretty much a companies way of expecting a package and documenting who the package belongs etc... Usually you would have to call them, e-mail them or fill out some online forms to get authorization. You will get a RMA number where you should write that all over your package before you ship out the product. Some companies will either refuse the package if there is no RMA or they will throw it in a pile of "unknown" packages and you will never see it again. Warranty periods are region specific. I know that Thermaltake HQ in Taiwan only has a 1 year warranty on their products where we have up to 6 years on some products in the US. I do not know what it is in the UK but it is different. What a big misconception is people from other parts of the world expect the same type of service and warranty as in the US. RANT: We has someone call us to ask if we had a particular product in stock in the US. This product was either never imported or it was discontinued so we did not have any in North America. So this person decided to buy it from some store in Australia. He got it and it was defective. He called the North America office again to get an RMA... Well, we offered him a new version but he refused and said he wanted the version he had knowing full well that there were none in the entire North America. So then he goes on about the attorney general blah blah... So be very careful if you buy overseas!!! Last edited by Pete; July 27th, 2007 at 10:52. | |
