Not necessarily, my last install with vista was about the easiest thing I've done, only thing I had to do was install the sound and video drivers and I was good to go, so hopefully it goes that smoothly for you too.

But I digress... I love messing with my car, but I can't do a whole lot to it. Contours with the 4 cylinder engines aren't exactly muscle cars, lol! I do need to take apart my door here soon though, to figure out why my handle isn't always working... that'll be fun.

With my usage, Vista installs have been a major pain, and XP and linux installs have been easy...

As for vehicles, I can do some small minor stuff liek the ignition module, idle sensor on the TBI, oil changes and tune up, and I did once replace a carburetor on my old truck... anything bigger or more involved I let a friend or a shop do it.
