Hey, I assume they are all the same. The one I have doesn't make to much noise. The noise from the fan is similar to that which the laptop makes.

cheers

thanks deanch, I have replied via ebay to you....

edit: Just wondering if you know what the audio drivers that are used? I have tried the ones that were on the hard drive that came with the laptop but they do not seem to work for me?

I have tried a lite version of windows xp on the laptop and can't believe how much faster it is.... about 20 processes in the task manager compared 55+ that it used to be for me.... Will see if I can do something about the backup cd once i get it so windows runs quicker....

Angry Re: philips freevents x56 prob

Hi,

I really hope someone can help me?

I re-formatted my harddisk (philips freevents x56) - without making a recovery CD - I know, what an idiot.

I can download most of the drivers from the internet (X56 = H12Y from Twinhead) apart from the SATA controller. - When installing windows XP I require to install a harddisk controller.

Can anyone email this to me? Or kindly copy me a recovery cd?

Iam kinda deperate!

Kind Regards

Simon.

I originally borrowed my friends USB floppy disk and used these drivers that worked....

YouSendIt - Send large files - transfer delivery - FTP Replacement

Its one of the last options [scroll down off the page]..... It allowed Windows to find the hard drive....
