| Modder-ator | Well, I guess you could always try uninstalling them and reinstalling them, but it's questionable whether or not that would actually do anything. But given the amount of trouble they have caused you before, who knows! ![]() |

| My daughters computer has been freezing up when she accesses her pics, which are on a new (few months) sata slave drive. She always has a million things going, figured she was infected or something, turns out the drive has issues. What I finally did yesterday was went to the CP, Administrative Tools / event viewer. Look under "system", scroll down until you find an x in a red circle. Click the entry, may say something to the effect of: The driver detected an error on \Device\Harddisk2\D For more info, see Help & Support Center @ http://go.microsoft/fwlink/events.asp The message in the url is specific to your computer. Copy and paste (or print screen) the info here. | The Dhcp Explanation The DHCP Server service did not extend the lease on your computer's IP address, so your computer temporarily lost its connection with the network. This could be caused by a scope change. For example, when a roaming laptop moves from one network to another, its IP address lease might need renewal. When the DHCP Client service tries to renew the address, that request might go to a different server that will not extend the lease either because it does not know about this address lease or because it has already issued the address lease to another client. This also happens when two DHCP servers are configured to give out addresses in the same IP address range. User Action No user action is required. The DHCP Client service will continue trying to obtain a working IP address until it succeeds, and DHCP establishes the network connection on its own. USB Device Plug and PLay Explanation The device was removed from the computer without first being stopped with the Safely Remove Hardware applet. In most cases the operating system can handle removal of devices such as PC cards or USB devices before they have been stopped, but occasionally this can cause the system to become unstable or the device to stop working. If a mass storage device such as a USB flash drive is removed without being stopped, data stored in the device could be lost. This is for the CD-rom as it calls it Explanation The device has a bad block of memory, which Windows attempted to read. The data might be missing or corrupted. User Action Do one or all of the following:
EDIT::::::::::::::: Now the front audio doesnt work, the usb works, just not the headphone jack. tried uninstalling the drivers then reinstalling, nothing seems to work. could it be that i have a bad hdd or dvd rom>? | Modder-ator | Try using the system without your external HDD connected, maybe that is the source of the USB problems for whatever reason. Maybe it has something to do with what Blondie mentioned about a failing HDD causing problems. |

| Modder-ator | Hmmm, not sure what temp 2 is. I know I tried SpeedFan a while back and there was some random temp sensor that just read out of control hot or cold. Probably just an incompatability of somekind... |
