Sorry, had to run to Jack In The Box for a sirloin burger.......which they completely screwed up.

But back on topic, there should be a setting in there that decides which graphics solution to use. I think this is the exact same board Jaemie has, so tomorrow I'll have her fire hers up and direct you to set things up

You know, I have a friend that bought the s939 PCI-e version of that ECS board with onboard video. Every time he tries to boot his computer up, he gets an nVidia display error after the DMI Pool messaage, and then is told that he has a disk sector boot error. The only way for him to get to his desktop is to keep the Windows disk in the drive. This is after a fresh install of Windows XP on a hard drive that is known to be functioning and working properly.

Yeah, you can disable onboard video in BIOS. I've had to do it in many computers. Look for something related to onboard peripherals.

- Core 2 Quad Q6600
- DFI Infinity 975X
- 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800
- 500GB WD 7200.10 Caviar GP + 250GB Seagate 7200.9RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM
- ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB
- Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W
- Acer 19" P191W Monitor
- Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution
- Vista Ultimate x64

i have no idea where it is in the BIOS, ill look around.

As for the motherboard i have this one.

Now it seems like my audio drivers arent there or something, i did insert the mobo's cd and installed the drivers for the audio. Could it be that i hooked up the connections wrong? I dont think i did cause there is front audio, but just trying to play a windows media file, it wont let me do that.

Any error message?
If you had audio installed and it suddenly became uninstalled I suggest you scan your RAM with Memtest86+. It happened to me quite a few times with improper RAM config/bad RAM.

no its still installed, i just think i hooked up something wrong, the instructions were not that clear, i mean i can get front audio from the testing, but to just play a file, it wont.

As for the memory, i have one good stick, one bad one.

Doesn't that board have onboard graphics? If so, power down, and remove the video card, then if it fires up and you can get into the BIOS, set it up to use the card instead
yeh make sure u push that card in good.

pretty good mobo, Jaemie has been using it for about 6 months with no problems.....not a great overclocker, but extremely stable and a good value

Hey, did you ever test out both sticks of RAM individually in both RAM slots to make sure it was a stick of bad RAM and not a bad RAM slot on the motherboard or something?
