| I dont think there is any issue with the Fan only because when i used the New Fan and Heatsink that came with the processor it was doin the same thing thats why i decided to upgrade the fan/Heatsink any way t help in the cooling and it still doesn really speed up any faster |

| Colonel Calamity | some larger fans do not spin any faster but cool well... I have several coolers that have had 120mm fans and at times it looked like they barely spin yet under load with my E6600 it rarely gets above 60ºC... smaller fans are supposed to spin faster but it appears that it is either your bios slowing it down or something is keeping it at a slower speed also you can use Speedfan to take a look at the actual speeds reported and see if that helps ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! | Yea the speed range on the 92mm Fan is 900-2600 Rpm's but even when i transcoded video or ran a stress test and the temp's got up into 70's fan still wouldnt spin any faster then 950RPM I Spoke with Intel Tech Support he told me once a load begins on the CPU that even with the stock fan they sent to me that it should have began spinning at 12-1500 Rpm To Help maintain the temp down |

| Colonel Calamity | ok thanks for the info 1) Change the BIOS settings to aggressive should help for the first step.. 2) if that doesn't work then try a small 3pin to 4pin power adapter to hook it directly into the power supply line instead of the mother board.... 3) if it still runs the same speed then the next step would be to try a fan controller like this one Newegg.com - Sunbeam RHK-BA Rheobus 20W Fan Controller (Black) - Retail if after this it still refuses to run fast then it is the fan itself and needs to be replaced ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! I Tried speed fan but cant set it through there but the redings speedfan is giving me is about 20 C below the other program Last edited by a22shady; February 14th, 2008 at 16:15. |

| Colonel Calamity | lol if I had spoken with them, I would ask if it is normal for the processor to heat up to 70ºC or higher? ![]() ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! My opinions are my own and not representative of this site or its members. |

| T-Rex | Looking at theburan link seems to pretty much explain everything about it. Cheapest way: Grab a 3pin male to 4pin molex connector so you can plug the fan directly on your power supply Coolest way: Grab a fan controller, turn the know at your will to adjust fan speed. |
